Thickened Wall and High-Strength Steel for Durability
This carbonated beverage preform mold uses a standard neck diameter of Φ28mm. The preform wall thickness is 2.4mm to 3.0mm. This is 0.2mm to 0.4mm thicker than mineral water preforms. The added thickness gives the bottle extra strength. The preform mold has 48 or 64 cavities. The cycle time is 32 to 38 seconds per mold. The cap thread pitch is 1.8mm. This design supports internal bottle pressure of 0.6MPa or higher. The parting line flash is 0.01mm or less. The mold steel hardness is HRC 52 to 56.
