Precision control lies at the heart of bottle cap mold manufacturing. Cavity dimensions must be calculated precisely to compensate for dimensional changes caused by plastic shrinkage during cooling. The design of the runner system influences the uniformity and efficiency of cavity filling; a well-designed runner system minimizes material waste and shortens the molding cycle. The layout of the cooling system is critical to molding speed and quality stability; optimizing the arrangement of cooling channels ensures uniform cooling of the cap, thereby preventing deformation. The design of the ejection mechanism must ensure smooth release of the cap from the cavity without damaging the product's surface.

 

Regarding material selection, bottle cap molds typically utilize wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant steels-such as pre-hardened mold steel or corrosion-resistant steel-to withstand the demands of long-term injection molding production. Manufacturing processes include CNC milling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), wire-cut EDM, and precision grinding; these steps collectively ensure the dimensional accuracy and surface finish of the mold components. Once assembly is complete, mold trials are conducted to verify the dimensions, sealing performance, and appearance of the cap samples, followed by fine-tuning of the mold based on the trial results.
